AFTER SEVENTEEN YEARS . . .

It started way back in March of 1997, when there was no Google, eBay was only a little over a year old and Internet resources consisted of listservs, AOL and Prodigy. That's when I started writing about Collecting for About.com (originally The Mining Company!). To say the world of collecting has changed is, of course, an understatement. It's been a great journey as I've been introduced to so many new collectors and artists, made so many terrific friends and started a lot of new collections!

Truly, it was a blast. But after seventeen years it was time for a change, I decided I still want to write, but not under the same constraints and issues. And I wanted to leave on my own time table.

So I found myself here . . .
